  • Press the button once, quickly, to turn the blade on.
  • The following controls activate when the blade is on, and are based on the amount of time you hold the button or flash of the LED button light:

1) A quick press will initiate a single blaster deflect effect.

2) Press and hold the button for 0.5 seconds (one LED flash), then release. This will initiate the drag effect. A quick press will end the drag effect.

3) Press and hold the button for 1 second (two LED flashes), then release. This will initiate the color cycle. When the color you want shows, a quick press will end the color cycle.

4) Continue to hold the button past 1 second (three LED flashes) to turn off the blade.

While the blade is off, the following controls are activated based on the time the button is held:

      1) Press and hold the button for 0.5 seconds (one LED flash), then release. This will change the volume. There are 3 volume settings: Volume High, Volume Low, and Mute.

      3) Press and hold the button for 1.5 seconds (three LED flashes), then release. This will change the blade modes (ignitions and modes). Certain modes are enabled by default, others are disabled. To turn these on or off, you can access the SD card and adjust the config file.

      4) Press and hold the button for 2 seoncds (four LED flashes), then release. This will change the sound font to the previous one. The selection of fonts can be customised by the user.

      5) Press and hold the button for 10 seconds to turn the saber off completely.

      6) Press and hold the button for 13 seconds to switch from Pixel to RGB mode.

If you would like to enable/disable motion controls for turning on your saber then this can be done by accessing the SD using the card reader provided and going to the 'set' folder and opening the 'config' file in notepad.

There is an option for swing, twist and stab ON/OFF as well as adjusting the sensitivity of each.

      MOTION CONTROL INSTRUCTIONS:

The on and off motion control features can be enabled/disabled by accessing the config file on the SD card.

      1) A direct and quick stabbing motion with the hilt level will turn the blade on, or off.

      2) A quick twist (clockwise then quickly anti-clockwise) will turn the saber on/off

      3) A quick twist (anit-clockwise then quickly clockwise) while the hilt is pointed down will change the font to the next on the list. This will work when the saber is on but not ignited.

      4) A quick twist (anit-clockwise then quickly clockwise) while the hilt is pointed up will play a music track, if one or more are available in the selected fonts folder. A quick twist again will stop the music. If no music plays then the font does not contain a music file.

      5) Hold the button and impact the hilt/blade to activate lockup. Release the button to end lockup.

      6) While holding the button, a quick twist (anti-clockwise then clockwise) while the hilt is pointed down will cycle the blade color. Release the button to select the current color.

      7) While holding the button, a quick twist (clockwise then anti-clockwise) while the hilt is pointed down will allow you to change colour by twist.

      8) While holding the button, a quick twist (clockwise then anti-clockwise) while the hilt is pointed up will play a special effect. This will also play a sound if the correct file in included in the font.

      9) Hold the button and stab to activate the melt feature. Twist the hilt to change the melt colour.

      10) Hold the button and pull the hilt inwards to activate lightening block

      11) Hold the button and hilt clash to enter lock-up. To enter multi lock hold the button for 0.5 seconds (1 LED flash). Same controls to exit.

      12) Multi block is entered by holding the button and swinging the saber.

My Saber does not have an LED ring like in the videos, how do I use it?

Some of our sabers do not have the LED rings like shown in many of the YouTube instructions videos. These sabers include the Praxeum, and the majority of the Premium sabers.

These have been designed with a slightly different button to the standard sabers due to the design of the hilt and many have switch boards which cover the button anyway.

The sabers still function the same way as the instructions in the YouTube videos but require the button to be held based on timing rather than seeing a physical LED ring.

Any mention of 1 LED flash is equivalent to holding the button for 0.5 seconds. 2 LED flashes is 1 second. 3 LED flashes is 1.5 seconds and 4 LED flashes is 2 seconds.

It can take a little practise to get used to the timing but very quickly becomes quite easy to control after using it for some time.

If you are still struggling with the timing, you can remove the SD card and access the config file to turn on the switch control sound. This makes a beep when navigating the menu.

      Bluetooth App

You can connect your Xeno 3 board to your phone via bluetooth and change settings on the app. This is in version 1.1 and still a work in progress so it is likely that there will be more updates on the app as time goes on.

You can download the Xeno configurator here

      Connecting:

To connect your saber to the app, launch the app.

Press the blue button and continue by selecting the saber that appears on the list of devices. You can add multiple sabers one at a time.

Once it has connected you will be on the main dashboard. From here you can change many settings and view information like the battery level.

You can adjust the volume, change the font, use the saber features such as the flash on clash, force effects etc, change colours using the quick select infinite colour changer or colour palette.

There is an option to also play a track if you add your own music file to the font. More information on adding fonts can be found here. The Xeno 3 and older Xeno V2 can be edited in the same way.

You can also change basic settings and the motion control settings and there will soon be the possibility of adding custom effects in future versions of the app.
