Weathering

We have the option for your sabers to be weathered. This means that we take your hilt and make it look like it has had long exposure to the atmosphere, giving it a worn, run down look and a used in battle kind of look.

This process requires us to sand parts of the hilt, add marks, scratches, or dents and also adding paints or chemicals to adjust the look of feel of the hilt.

This process is very labour intensive and can extend the lead time and increase the cost of the saber. It can take up to 2 weeks to get your saber weathered - this is on top of the normal 2 week production time for the parts, core and assembly of everything.

There are a few options available, light, medium and heavy weathering. Below are some examples of each.

You can see the difference between each one with the light weathering on the top saber, medium weathering on the middle one and heavy weathering on the bottom. There is a side view of them below.

All sabers can be weathered however sabers such as the Crossguards or sabers with a longer hilt can extend the time taken to complete the work so the cost is a little higher for these.

We have added another example of a chrome polished saber. The light weathering still gives it a reflective chrome look with a small amount of wear and tear. The medium and heavy weathering have taken off the reflective polish and dulled the look.

To add weathering to your saber then please select the option when ordering. Prices are all reflected on the product page and all weathering jobs are unique so will not be exactly identical to any other photos shown. Each saber is done on a job by job basis and all done by hand (with the assistance of some electrical tools for getting those battle scars, dents, cuts and scratches created where appropriate).

Due to weathering being a customised job, taylored specifically for you, then there are some changes to returns on these sabers. Once we have started to work on your saber you would be unable to request a refund. Please see more information on our returns policy page about this.

All weathering is done by Tom from TS Creations. His work is remarkable and this can be seen in all the photos we post on our social medial.
