I thought I had ordered a kit to build this hilt, but it came assembled, without even requiring any sanding, and it is gorgeous! My only "complaint" is that I need just one more hole drilled to secure a core, and that bit of DIY will be fun in it's completed state because it requires precise alignment... but at least it's not aluminum I'll be drilling into! I'm looking forward to completing the project with a drop-in core at the ready!

Blade does what it’s supposed to. Fits in to the hole and lights up. This blade was purchased for a Yoda hilt, so size matters in this case.

Truly awesome. The learning curve is steep but I have now set up the multi/phase/shifting light saber I wasn't even sure was possible. Utterly worth it!

This is my second Saber from Es Sabers, although technically it’s my first… allow me to explain. I ordered this Saber a couple of weeks before Portsmouth Comic Con, with ideas in mind how to customise it to make it more me. However, due to a high volume of orders (Comic Con was over the weekend containing Star Wars Day) there was a delay, and due to the timing the was a Star Wars Day offer for 20% off, which I used to order a mystery box, which I got the following week, Confused? Me too 😂 But here we are, and I have my original order, which did not disappoint. The hilt is beautifully crafted, from good material and a fantastic weight. Having tried a friend Saber at Comic Con I’ll admit I was expecting it to be very heavy, but it’s a perfect weight as far as I’m concerned. The soundboard is fantastic, plenty of choices, and I got the extra parts I wanted to help customise my Saber, which included the Silver Shroud. Unfortunately I didn’t get anymore thumb screws for decoration, and didn’t order any extra, so had to use the ones from my mystery box Saber. As you’ll see from the pictures the Saber came in its own box (also boxed when delivered) containing the Saber hilt, the 28” blade I’d requested with the order, charging cable and allen key/screws to fix the blade. To be honest the Saber was quite beautiful as it was, but I’m always out to be unique, which was reflected in my own style Jedi robes I made for Comic Con. So you’ll also see from the pictures that I changed the pommel (a hat tip to Obi Wan Kenobi and his first 2 Sabers) as well as wrapping the handle and adding the shroud with the borrowed thumb screws. As a Star Wars fan I have always wanted my own Saber, and now I have 2, with plans to buy more in the future. However, this Saber (Racoblu) is stunning straight out the box and I’m so happy with how it looks with the handle wrap and shroud, the the new pommel and of course Covertech Wheel to attach it to my belt when cosplaying. I’m honestly so pleased with what I think is a great priced entry level Saber, which is well worth the money and the wait. Don’t hesitate, if you want a Saber (this one or one of the many others) order without delay, you won’t be disappointed. May the Force be with you.

I absolutely love the sabre it's my current pride and joy. If I had to give one constructive point the fire blade setting could do with being more fire like but I know that's due to software limitations but it's an amazing sabre.

The excitement of receiving a Mystery Box of any sort is always filled with anticipation, and as this is my first lightsaber from Es Sabers I can safely say I felt like a kid waiting for Christmas. Of course the downside of a Mystery Box is the chance of disappointment, but that didn’t happen.

When I opened the box, which you’ll see from the picture was contained in another box, I was thrilled to find the following:

A 32 inch Saber blade
Charging cable
Instruction booklet (Also available videos on website)
Screws and Allen key
Aesthetic screws
Hilt wrap

And finally, the hit itself…

In this case I got the Scora hilt in black, with silver and black aesthetic screws.

The hilt itself is beautifully made, absolutely top quality, and with the blade added looks stunning. It is also well balanced in the hand. however, it is the soundboard where this Lightsaber shines (excuse the pun) through.

Whilst I only got the standard RGB base lit core, it it still truly spectacular. Even in daylight the blade is relatively bright, although I imagine the pixel version is way better from the reviews I’ve read. But it is the soundboard that impresses, as despite being a base model there are still a good array of sound (and light) effects. I haven’t even tried everything yet and I’m already in love with my new Saber.

If there was one small flaw with my Mystery Box, it’s that the Scora has the same switch/emitter as the Racoblu Saber I ordered prior to attending Comic Con. That said the Racoblu I ordered is coming in silver, giving me a perfect opportunity to start work on designing my own Saber with both Sabers and the parts I also ordered with the Racoblu in mind.

As you’ll see from the pictures, I’ve added the slotted pommel and Covertec wheel adapter to my Scora hilt. But once I have my Racoblu Saber I’ll experiment with the handles, the blade (I have the 28 inch coming with my Racoblu Saber) and the pommels.

But as it stands the Scora Saber is beautiful, and worth every penny, especially given it came in the slightly cheaper Mystery Box (£79 compared to £95 if ordering the Scora Saber - saving £16 over the normal price) and with May 4th discount of 20% this was truly the best buy I’ve ever made.

I’m incredibly happy with my first ever Saber from Es Sabers, and I doubt very much that when my Racoblu Saber arrives that it will be my last.

I highly recommend Es Sabers, but would point out that whilst the Mystery Box was shipped within days (presumably they are pre-made and ready to ship) any other Sabers ordered are made to order and can take sometime. The irony being I ordered my Racoblu Saber over 2 weeks ago and the Mystery Box on Friday May 2nd, and got the Mystery Box first, just 6 days later.

To sum up, these are beautiful Sabers, but be prepared that you could get anything in the Mystery Box. However, the Mystery Box will always save you money, how much depends what Saber you get. Whilst ordering a Saber means a wait whilst it is made for you.

But if you like surprises I would say the Mystery Box is for you, especially as you can get so many interchangeable parts.
